Why do so few people ever achieve their goals? ⁣

Here’s why: we are so afraid of change & growth. And people are afraid of this because it means they might separate from people they’re attached to.⁣

We don’t want to feel distant from our friends, our family, or even our initial founding clients.⁣

Yet success challenges you to grow, even though 99% of people in your life will not grow with you.⁣

Nobody wants to “graduate from class” when they know all their classmates will be staying behind...⁣

But here’s the truth:⁣

You don’t need to worry.⁣
⁣
You cannot grow by settling for other people’s standards in life. Instead, you focus on YOUR growth.⁣

If they want to come along, inspired by your example, then great.⁣
⁣
But if they don’t?⁣
⁣
Then you keep going anyway. They might not understand you, but that’s ok.⁣

When you clean out space by removing people in your life who know longer fit your vision and standards, this opens the possibility for new people to step in that do.⁣

But if YOU keep clinging on to everything in your reality, while at the same time wanting it to change, you’ll keep feeling the same frustration. ⁣

Who are those people in your life that raise you UP? Who make you feel GOOD? Who inspire and educate you?⁣

If we have such a disconnect to our future self, it’s hard to invest ourselves into our future self’s well being. ➡️➡️➡️
In fact, while doing some thinking about how I coach weight loss with my clients it occured to me what has worked best for me over the years ISN’T necessarily staying focused on achieving goals. It’s focusing on my current discomfort. You miserable? GOOD! Now use it.

ONLY when the discomfort of where you currently are is greater than the discomfort of change, exercise, diet etc. does it become easy to achieve. Read that again.

Focusing on the future or essentially your goal is actually not the best method. We. Don’t. Care. About. Our. Goals....because we can’t. ➡️➡️➡️
