I learned a new Lift today, and honestly it's my new fave! 😁💪🏻 My knee's not healed enough to do Deadlifts yet, especially Speed style Deads. I needed a substitute, so introducing the Band Resisted Rack Pull!!! I honestly like these even better! Every set felt faster and more explosive than the set prior. This is definitely gonna be a new staple in my supplemental training for building unstoppable hips. Thx again @jason_scott_hatfield I'm gonna heal fast. Then the best is yet to come 👊🏻💥

Had one of my best workouts today. As of late, per my Jiu Jitsu Coach's advice, I've been working hard on my muscular endurance, and cardio stamina. So, I can become a whole different type of beast. Per his words, me with a ton of stamina and a huge gas tank to go along with all my other attributes would be a scary thing to deal with. I'm definitely gonna make that happen. I've been juggling this type of training around a knee injury, so I've had to be careful. So far the knees healing up fast, and the stamina is really coming along great. 💪🏻

(This one almost had me puking, and my legs were throbbing 🤢🤣😭)

Interval Sprints x 8 Sets (Definitely still a challenge but my stamina getting WAY BETTER, so I wasn't dying afterwards lol 😂) I hit some pretty high Max Watts today on my Sprints, nearly 1000 Watts on my 10 sec Sprints, at nearly 36 miles an hour. Feeling good with those improvements, but this is only the beginning.

Blackbelt and Masters debut went ok. I won my first match 6-0 with a bow and arrow choke and lost my second match tied score by 1 advantage. Upset I couldn’t make it to the podium but I had a tough division with a lot of competitors. This was good preparation for more blackbelt divisions to come! The other day, while at training, one my Jiu Jitsu coaches Brian Rago pointed out an aspect of my performance where I could make improvements. That area is endurance. After thinking about it. I realized outside of all the live sparring I do every week I hadn't been doing much by way of improving my cardio or endurance. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣 Outside of mat time, I mostly focused on Strength💪🏻 and Power 💥 work, while keeping Conditioning work pretty sparse. I've made vast improvements in the Power and Strength departments, as well as my technique on the mats, but I've let my cardio go a bit. 😆 Regardless of technique or athleticism, there's just no substitute for excellent endurance. The higher the level you get in a combat sport, the more you'll need that endurance to hang with the elite folks at that level. That being said the most important type of endurance to possess for sports (especially combat sports) is Power Endurance, which in short is the ability to be able to explode over and over again at high output for a prolonged period of time. Here I am taking my Coaches advice, by scaling back a bit on the heavy lifting, and focusing my workouts more towards conditioning for little while. For those of you seeking similar fitness goals I thought I'd share the workout with you guys to give it a try. ✖️

Woke up today in shitty mood, and just wanted to strangle another person for no reason other than the fact that Life has been stressful AF lately, and I don't like it. 
Jiu Jitsu helped me get the fix I needed, and I feel MUCH better now. As usual, @greenjiujitsu taught an awesome Gi practice today. Bonus: I was lucky enough to get TWO hard rounds in with the Green Machine himself between cycling rounds. The guy's a beast, and an even better teacher. Now I can get the rest of today's responsibilities done without wanting to hurt someone. Thank you Jiu Jitsu! And for those that say Will. I thought you said you felt better now, you don't look

Ah the feels 😭😑😑😤 I secretly hate when this happens 🤦🏻‍♂️ I mean, don't get me wrong. I lift, and I'm a pretty strong athletic guy, but come on man.... 🤷🏻‍♂️ If you're gonna compliment me after a roll. Reference to my pressure, my timing, maybe my pace, or maybe even the techniques I chose to use during the roll that you got caught with. But when you say "Damn man, you're REALLY strong." That almost sounds like "Code" for "If you weren't so strong, I would've kicked your ass in that roll." Which I can assure. Most of the time, that just isn't true. I know someone out there feels me on this topic lol 😂 Just my thoughts on this one.. 💁🏻‍♂️
