Kirchner Museum Davos | Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer Architects | 1991-92 | Davos . In Davos we experienced an individual tour through the world-famous Kirchner Museum. Ernst Ludwig Kirchner (1880-1938) is one of the most important representatives of German Expressionism. Davos and his surroundings inspired Kirchner to create a large number of his important works. The museum offers the experience of seeing Ernst Ludwig Kirchner's art at its place of origin as well as the museum’s world-famous architecture. It was the first large commission to be realised by the architects Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer. It is now seen as a pioneering example of a new understanding of museum architecture, combining functionality and aesthetics, intrinsic architectural value and service to art in a remarkable way. . #viulaSagradaFamília per Sant Jordi. Today Catalonia celebrates the day of the rose and the book, of love and culture. We celebrate Sant Jordi, our patron saint, under whose protection sweethearts exchange a rose and a book as symbols of their love. It has become the most widely celebrated feast day in Catalunya. It's a day of civic-mindedness, cultural expression and, by extension, respect for all cultures and people of the world. Thank you @basilicasagradafamilia for the exclusive visit yesterday! . #SagradaFamília #Gaudí #architecture #Barcelona #SantJordi
