; jimmy sparks - the lumineers 1. Yes, I really took a whole picture of bark from the Muir Woods in California and put the whole 36 inches into one seamless post. 2. Is the texture amazing or what? I love how it gets clearer with every swipe and gets blurry again 😭 3. I wanted to add a mini-adventure into this so I just drew whatever LMFAO 4. This was a fun post to make, truly. 5. This new lumineers album is great. 6. Texture junkies everywhere are crying and so am I, this one's for y'all ❤️ hehe 7. Today you've seen 36 inches of bark on Instagram and no one can tell you otherwise. Gute nacht.
; me, you and karl marx - lo stato sociale Monthly cloud set check ☁️ hehe I've been living in your world, this world, where the clouds are pink high noon and stars shine brightest then as well. Where the sun is always level on the horizon and the moon floats above, a lamp in the light. We skipped stones on clouds, flew kites in the stars, swam in the skies, shooting hearts in the dark. If you want prints of these, the link is in my bio. Shoutouts to @matialonsor for the constant cloud inspo
; ottolenghi - loyle carner You live your life in moments, the simple ones. A touch of moon, sun, and stars - things you could never forget the feeling of. You'll walk on the ocean shore, water rushing to your feet and it's cold as ever at first but warms up after a while. You live your life in moments, the quickest ones. You'll feel a wind, the softness of grass and leaves, and you'll see flower petals rush past your cheeks into that warm pastel coloured sky, something straight out of a shinkai film. You live your life in moments, cherishing them as if you'll never meet them again. You'll find the blue from a forget-me-not stained on your hands for holding it too tight. And If I'm just one of these moments in your beautiful life, I just hope that you don't forget the colours I left behind.
; supersymmetry - arcade fire I think this one's my favourite set so far. Found this super 8 camera on a dusty shelf of an antique store from a small town nearby - sounds like it's straight out of a book. I decided it to bring it along with me to what was supposed to be an all-white shoot but it kinda sorta turned into a product shoot for a bit LOL Anywho, happy September - while you may be thinking of all that is sweater weather, Halloween, scary movies, and getting ready to get drunk on pumpkin spice lattes... I'm looking up different kinds of snowblowers online and bracing myself because winter is coming. I watched "the boys" on amazon prime and I don't think I'll ever trust the merit / character of superheroes ever again - the ending tore my heart out. I also watched "ready or not" in the cinema and was thoroughly satisfied with the film, ending and all. Films to watch: It 2, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, Peanut Butter Falcon, The Art of Self-Defense, Midsommar also
; wood - rostam The grand canyon was quite... grand. I wasn't ready mentally to take on the grand canyon (I thought I was). It was much bigger than I anticipated or had seen in film and photography or even read in books. The experience took me back to Robin Williams' monologue in Good Will Hunting, "If I asked you about art, you'd probably give me the skinny on every art book ever written. Michaelangelo, you know a lot about him. Life's work, political aspirations, him and the pope, sexual orientations, the whole works, right? But I'll bet you can't tell me what it smells like in the Sistine Chapel. You've never actually stood there and looked up at that beautiful ceiling." He keeps going to prove his point but I think this sums it up nicely without me inserting the whole thing LOL Experience can never be understood until experienced, I could've know everything there virtually was about the grand canyon - its magnitude, length, height, survival guides, etc. But I could never
; big sky - bjéar a lot's been happening as of late around the world and it's been constantly floating around somewhere in my mind as I try to go on through my days. i know it's not fun to read about negative realites when you're on social media - some people use it to escape their own reality. but I can't help but point to the importance of reflection and thinking about these things with intent. simply pondering over the many things happening, have happened, and to happen is a great way to strengthen yourself when it happens again and again (and again) and I'm not talking about becoming numb to it, but knowing how to deal with these things when they happen and having your own personal procedure to deal with the shock/sadness that mulls over. the other day it hit me that the christchurch shooting was in March, months ago - in 2019. but for some reason my mind distanced itself from that event so much that I thought it was a year ago. it's funny how even my subconscious wants
; streets of fire - bruce springsteen Here's a few of my fav snaps from the photowalk yesterday. There's a town nearby, and I hear it makes your dreams come true. It grants all your wishes and gives you the riches of the world. You'll live rich, you'll live the life you always dreamed about, and you won't have to worry about anything going wrong. This town though, things go wrong, they don't go the way you want to or plan to, it's filled with disappointments and loneliness. You could live your life feeling your best and the next day your worst. It's never a consistent line but instead filled with ups and downs. The town nearby sounds nice, but for now I like this town. Not because I choose pain over peace, but because I choose the adversities of this life and everything it has to offer. I want to learn from my wrongs and see what it's like on the other side before it gets all good and dreamy. I think that's the whole point of all this, really. If we were to live in the town
; such great heights - iron & wine The moon was your heart. It would beat in the nights and rest during the day, afraid of the stars that sat around it. I stitched your darkness into paper, was that even possible? Love is a pretty thing but it's also a fickle thing - it can come in waves or last a lifetime, wandering through one's life like a traveler always bound somewhere. When the moon fell, so did my heart. The ocean got angrier and my hands trembled as the waves hit my shore. So here I am, making my way to you. To find where you fell and help you get back up. I crashed on the moon, the clouds were like a breath, the stars were a smile, [friendly as ever] and the moon, the moon was your heart.
; hug all your friends - cavetown It's still Eid right? 👀 If I had to describe Mahdi as a friend, I'd probably use these pictures because they basically sum up everything the guy is. Always there to give a hand but at the same time blankets himself in humility. Serious when needed but also a whole kid on the inside 😂 man probs hates the two pics of him sitting on the skateboard haha I guess this is my Mahdi appreciation post, give him a shout if you need a sick cut -> @mahdithebarber // @beardedbengali Consider this appreciation post my Eid post, we should always celebrate / cherish our friends and realize how lucky we are to have them.
; falling in reverse - eden Gotta love trynna act fancy at art galleries but miserable failing at it because you make a meme out of every Renaissance painting you come across. Took advantage of the 25 and under free annual pass and decided to fool around at the @agotoronto 😂 I really wanted to go extra with this staircase tbh. Playing around with the different compositions and angles was fun. @raianoth really came through following my dead directions 😂 Hope y'all have a blessed day and I guess an early Eid Mubarak to everyone ❤️
; big sky - bjéar Me: Yo Rof, I got this cool idea for a shoot. You gotta trust me, you down? Rof: What is it? Me: Okay so I want you to wear all white Rof: What? Me: Yeah, like white hijab, dress, shoes, and all that Rof: alright I'm downnnn Me: Okay, we just gotta set a date now I've wanted to do this shoot for over a year now and it's been that long since I pitched it to @brightothman - we FINALLY went through with it haha I had trouble making this post because there's so many good pictures that came out of it but I'll share the rest on my website when it goes up. Thank you @raianoth and @beardedbengali for helping me with this shoot, y'all were the best assistants. P.S. this has a sequel.
; i love the colour of life. It's been a while since I've done street photography and I gotta say - these were extremely rewarding pictures. They're one of my favourites I've taken this year. Street photography is powered by a gut feeling, capturing something through your own lens that piques your observations of the moving world around you. It's a documentation of history. This series is an ode to following that gut feeling and capturing what others can't see: a world through your eyes. Looking at Paola Franqui's ( @monaris ) work gave me inspiration to capture the world again after a really REALLY long time. Do check her work out y'all ❤️ Oh shoot: listen to the album called Bjéar by @bjear - it's a ride from start to finish. It's been on daily repeat for the past week and each song has a special place in my heart. Okay bye, thanks for getting this far.

; i needed you in this life [transition to] dell n kimberly - daniel hart A casual stroll around 7 pm onwards, the clouds, the skies, everything soft + my camera and I. look to the pink, look to the blue, look to the clouds carrying themselves look to the moon, look to the stars, look to the world spinning in the dark Everything was colourful that evening, even your thoughts were riddled with the changing colours of the clouds. Your heart called out to them all - to the pink and to the blue, to the moon and to the stars. The orchestra sounded in the distance and your darkening world only intensified the light of the stars. The deep hum of the cellos traveled to you, as well as the cheers of the crowd, a soundtrack to the magic happening above. It all felt like a dream, really. You felt your heart flutter, as if the moments were all fleeting away and you were frozen in time. But it wasn't (a dream), really. You were grounded by the world as you gazed at the wonder above in all
; anything by ólafur arnalds tbh Here I am, sitting alone, writing about you. I've written this letter a million different ways and this one will be my millionth and one. Still I write, and still, you'll live your life without hearing a word from me - and that's okay. There was this Hungarian couple we met on the evening train to Lipsk in Poland, it was a small town near the border of Lithuania and Belarus. They were kind people and told us about the monestary in town. It was nearing the end of Fall and the trees there were beautiful, they were tall and skinny but their leaves looked like a lit match in the darkness. They were filled with nests, home to the birds singing as we got off the train that night. As we wandered, we stumbled across that one monestary in town, and it felt divine. Even in the night with the hazy dark sky, its stained glass reflected the colour of sapphire clashing with rubies because a torch sat on a wall inside. And there we were, standing, and as
yo @warnerbrosentertainment - lmk if you need anyone to play a teenage Dumbledore, I gotchu. 📸 @beardedbengali
; futura free - frank ocean 1. macro shots feed my soul 2. I really hope these turn out sharp tbh (hehe) 3. Listening to a lot of frank ocean today 4. I JUST listened to this song the first time and it's almost 10 minutes long - how did I not know of this. 5. I finished 9 seasons of how I met your mother in 2 weeks, it really be that wild. 6. The craving for Pakistani mangoes is real, also some indomie. 7. Stranger Things Season 3 was nice, Dustin & Suzie are the MVP. 8. Don't double tap too hard, you might get pricked (ba dum tShhhh) 9. Fam, the second half of this song is legit an interview and random noise lmaooo. I love long songs though. 10. Okay bye.
; busted and blue - gorillaz Everytime I go see the stars they're a little different, sometimes they're really clear and other times not so much. But each sight holds a special place in my heart. I don't shoot the stars as much as I used to but that makes all this more special. It's odd, when you're laying there on that rough rock with a blanket and a pillow, with mosquitoes trying to break through any opening they can find as the frogs sound in the distance by the lake ahead in the darkness. It's all this night ambience in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees and showered by the stars. You'll hear all these things but the only thing reflecting in your eyes are these lights in the sky. The star clusters, the countless galaxies, and a shooting star once in a while. Satellites and imaginary UFO's, it never gets old. I really took a bokeh shot of the stars haha and thank god for the fire for bringing light to the landscapes and being my natural ISO while I shot these
